About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer for a retail distribution location in Savannah, Georgia. The role involves providing customer service while monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and supporting access control. The officer responds to incidents and critical situations, verifies authorized access, and reports suspicious activity and safety concerns. The schedule is Friday and Saturday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The pay rate is $16.26 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, if required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience.
Access control and badge experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, provide customer service, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, loading docks, and other assigned areas.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access for employees, visitors, and delivery personnel, and maintain required logs and reports.
Observe and report suspicious activity, damaged property, hazardous conditions, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts or Allied Universal leadership.
