About The Position

Allied Universal is currently hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a Pharma Company in Cambridge MA. This role offers a fixed shift commitment on Saturdays from 11 PM to 7 AM, with the option for additional shifts. The starting pay is $22.05 per hour, with paid orientation and training. This position is ideal for individuals seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build towards a full-time schedule. The role involves providing customer service, conducting patrols, monitoring access points, responding to incidents, and completing detailed reports.

Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a healthcare and life sciences location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain appropriate access records.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required documentation.
  • Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications, following Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.
