About The Position

Allied Universal is currently hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a Pharma Company in Cambridge MA. This role offers a fixed shift commitment on Saturdays from 11 PM to 7 AM, with the option for additional shifts. The starting pay is $22.05 per hour, with paid orientation and training. The role involves providing customer service, conducting patrols, monitoring access points, responding to incidents, and completing detailed reports.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a healthcare and life sciences location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain appropriate access records.
Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required documentation.
Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications, following Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.
