Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, credential verification, and security-related policies at a technology location.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, badge readers, and visitor management systems to help to deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity or access issues to the appropriate contact.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Assist with visitor processing, temporary badge issuance, and delivery coordination while maintaining accurate access logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around entry points, restricted areas, and the exterior perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
