About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for badge administration at a manufacturing and industrial location in Florham Park, New Jersey. The role serves and safeguards employees, visitors, vendors, drivers, and contractors by monitoring access points, verifying authorization, maintaining records, and supporting a secure and welcoming environment. The officer uses computer or tablet systems, communicates professionally, remains visible to deter security-related incidents, and works as part of a team. The schedule is Wednesday and Thursday from 12:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The pay rate is $16.00 per hour. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.
A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license.
Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or drivers by following site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, deliveries, and/or contractors entering or leaving the facility.
Maintain visitor, contractor, and delivery records; issue and collect access credentials according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to access-control concerns, incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating issues according to established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and facility grounds to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
