About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Unit in Yorktown, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a hotel and resort location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support guests with exceptional customer service and communication. In this role, you will contribute to a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and a caring approach while responding to routine concerns with agility, reliability, and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout guest areas, lobbies, corridors, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access points and common areas, assist with visitor direction and credential checks when required, and communicate unusual activity to site leadership.
  • Support a professional atmosphere at the location by documenting daily activities, assisting with crowd and traffic flow, and following Allied Universal standards and post orders.
