Security Officer Full Time Distribution Center
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Santa Ana, California. The officer will help safeguard the site by managing entry points, verifying credentials, issuing badges, monitoring access activity, and carrying out site-specific access-control procedures. The role also includes maintaining a visible presence, communicating professionally with employees and visitors, reporting security concerns, and helping deter incidents. The position is scheduled for the overnight shift, Wednesday through Sunday, 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. Pay is $18.25 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local regulations.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel while carrying out site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access records.
- Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.
- Complete required reports, logs, and documentation related to access activity, incidents, and shift operations.
