About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a healthcare-related distribution location in Manteca, California. The officer helps maintain a welcoming, controlled environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, and assisting visitors, staff, vendors, and delivery personnel. The role requires a visible presence to deter security-related incidents and supports site operations through professional communication, teamwork, and integrity. The schedule is Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. The pay rate is $21.00 per hour. Officers may use Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific access-control procedures and policies, and carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorized access credentials, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery logs.
Control access to restricted areas, coordinate with site contacts regarding authorized personnel and scheduled deliveries, and report access concerns or policy violations.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, follow established site procedures, and contact appropriate emergency responders when needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, receiving areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
