As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Elmsford, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and drivers. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly, and document security-related activities using computer or tablet systems. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of shipping and receiving areas, trailer yards, parking areas, entry points, and the business perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, and contractors in accordance with site-specific requirements.
- Document observations, incidents, patrol activities, and security-related concerns accurately and promptly using required reporting tools.
