About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer to support an aerospace and defense location in Saint Louis, Missouri. The position pays $26.50 per hour and requires an active Department of Defense Secret clearance. The schedule has not yet been assigned; a manager will determine it based on business needs during hiring, onboarding, and training. Employees should expect to work at least 30 hours per week.

The officer will safeguard the site by monitoring assigned areas, conducting patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring access points, and providing customer service. The role also includes responding to incidents according to site protocols, checking credentials, documenting observations and activities, and communicating professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• An active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation and drug screen, as permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license.

Responsibilities

• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established site protocols and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, facilities, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access control points and verify visitor and employee credentials as required.
• Document security-related incidents, observations, and activities.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.
• Help maintain a professional and orderly environment.
