About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer to support an aerospace and defense location in Tucson, Arizona. The officer will help safeguard the site by monitoring alarm activity and access points, conducting routine and random patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and providing professional customer service and clear communication. The role requires an active DoD Secret Clearance and involves following site-specific security procedures, access-control and visitor-management requirements, and reporting protocols. Officers respond to incidents calmly and escalate concerns through established channels.

Requirements

• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
• Submit to a background investigation, subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Alarm panel experience.
• Possession of a Guard Card or license.
• Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized or unusual activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, using problem-solving skills and escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, facilities, and perimeter locations, documenting observations and security-related incidents.
• Support protection of sensitive aerospace and defense operations by following access-control, visitor-management, and reporting requirements.
• Monitor alarm activity and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents.
• Deliver professional customer service and clear communication.
