About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed patrol Security Officer in Ashburn, Virginia. The position provides a designated site and fixed weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to vary hours and build toward a schedule of up to 40 hours per week. The listed shift is Tuesday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM. Pay is $22.44 per hour.

The role provides security and customer service for employees, visitors, and vendors. Duties include following site policies and security procedures, responding to incidents and access-control concerns, conducting unarmed patrols, monitoring access points, and documenting activity. Applicants must be at least 18 for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and drug screening, subject to applicable law. State or local licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while following security procedures and site-specific policies, and assist with emergency response when appropriate.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office, campus, parking, and perimeter areas and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate incident and activity documentation.
• Communicate clearly with site personnel and follow technology-focused location protocols.
