About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol Security Officer in Bessemer, Alabama, serving a technology location. The officer conducts routine driving patrols, maintains a visible security presence, and helps provide a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The role requires a valid driver’s license and involves customer service, communication, incident response, and accurate reporting.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience.
Customer service experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
CPR/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of technology office spaces, common areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter; identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site procedures and report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following escalation and reporting procedures.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
