About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol Security Officer at a government education location in Ashburn, Virginia. The officer will help safeguard students, staff, visitors, and contractors by conducting patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring access and visitor activity, responding to security concerns, and providing professional customer service. The role pays $18.87 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification.
A guard card or license.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and contractors while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site procedures.
Report suspicious behavior, unsecured doors, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, follow established procedures, and contact emergency services when needed.
Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately.
Maintain professional communication with school personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
