About The Position

As a full-time unarmed patrol Security Officer at a government education location in Ashburn, Virginia, you will help safeguard students, staff, visitors, and community members. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond professionally to concerns, and provide customer service in support of a welcoming environment. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The pay rate is $18.87 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements vary by state and/or local law and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification.

Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by following site-specific procedures and policies and carrying out emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, student-related concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate school personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas, identifying and reporting unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures to help maintain an orderly environment.
Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.
