About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer to support a government location at a state office in Boston, Massachusetts. The officer will safeguard clients by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, observing and reporting activities, and providing customer service. The role follows site-specific policies and procedures and includes responding to incidents and emergencies. The posted schedule is Saturday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM and Sunday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Starting pay is $22.05 per hour. Paid orientation and paid training are provided.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access to the location, verify visitor credentials as required, and direct individuals to appropriate areas according to site-specific procedures.
Document patrol observations, incidents, and unusual activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
