About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Armed Security Officer for a government transportation location in Lowell, Massachusetts. The role involves safeguarding clients and the public through armed patrols, access monitoring, incident response, and customer service. The officer will follow site-specific procedures and emergency response activities while communicating professionally and upholding Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity. The position is scheduled Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The starting pay is $25.88 per hour. Paid orientation and paid training are provided.

Requirements

Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Have at least one year of previous security experience.
Undergo a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and members of the public while following site-specific procedures and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, parking areas, access points, roadways, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and access concerns.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and remain aware of vehicle and pedestrian activity in accordance with site policies.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, coordinating with public service personnel and site representatives when needed.
Prepare accurate reports and complete required documentation regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and interactions.
