About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Armed Security Officer for a state government transportation location in Boston, Massachusetts. The officer will safeguard personnel, visitors, and members of the public by conducting armed patrols, monitoring access, responding to incidents, and carrying out site-specific security procedures. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM and pays $25.88 per hour. Paid orientation and training are provided.

Requirements

Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Have at least one year of previous security experience.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, roadway or facility-related concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and public emergency services when needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
Monitor access to restricted areas and verify authorized entry.
Report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations according to established procedures.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrols, incidents, and security-related observations.
