About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol Security Officer for a government education location in Ashburn, Virginia. The officer will help safeguard students, staff, visitors, and the community by patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring access, responding to incidents, and communicating concerns. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and pays $18.87 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Customer service experience.
A guard card or license.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by following site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity, unauthorized access, and maintenance concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, student-related concerns, medical situations, and critical events while following established protocols.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with entry procedures, and report policy violations or suspicious behavior to appropriate school personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate professionally with school staff, emergency responders, and Allied Universal management.
