About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for a financial institution in Jacksonville, Florida. The officer conducts patrols and monitors access points to help deter security-related incidents, safeguard employees and visitors, and support a welcoming environment. The role involves customer service, professional communication, incident response, and accurate reporting while following site-specific procedures and escalation protocols. The scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.86 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience.
A guard card or license.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and customers by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Monitor access points, verify visitor credentials according to site procedures, and report unauthorized activity or unusual conditions to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, ATM or banking service areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security concerns.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, and observations.
Communicate professionally with personnel, visitors, and responding public service agencies.
