About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer Enhanced for an assigned site in Carleton, Michigan. The position provides a consistent weekly anchor shift, with a six-month commitment, and the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Hours may vary from part-time to as many as 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The position pays $17.00 per hour and is scheduled for Thursdays from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

The officer will provide security and customer service at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. Duties include carrying out site procedures, conducting unarmed patrols, monitoring access and visitors, responding to incidents and alarms, and documenting security activity. Applicants must meet age, education, driving, and screening requirements. Allied Universal describes opportunities for additional training and career growth.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and guests while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity, property concerns, and unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate security logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site contacts, employees, and first responders while supporting a welcoming environment and compliance with site requirements.
