About The Position

The Adena Health System Security Officer is responsible for physical security protection, promoting safety, and assisting patients, visitors, and caregivers within campus buildings. The role uses various systems, personal observations through regular patrols, and other means to support security. The officer enforces corporate policies; responds to disruptive situations and uses de-escalation techniques to resolve them safely; escalates dynamic situations to law enforcement; completes reports in a timely manner; creates new and replacement access badges; and performs safety preventative maintenance tasks.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Complete a security program that includes formal report writing and handling disruptive situations, or successfully complete on-the-job training within the first 90 days.
Possess a valid Ohio Driver's License.

Nice To Haves

IAHSS Basic Level Security Officer Certification.
1–2 years of physical security experience within a healthcare environment.
1–2 years of law enforcement experience.
1–2 years of corrections experience.
1–2 years of first responder experience.
