About The Position

The Security Officer will conduct surveillance of the premises and help protect staff and visitors. The role involves identifying suspicious behavior and helping prevent vandalism, theft, and other criminal activity. The officer is expected to be trained in surveillance and handling perpetrators, demonstrate strong observation skills, and maintain a respectful, authoritative presence to help keep facilities safe and orderly. This is an in-person position with full-time and part-time openings and flexible shifts. Pay is $22.50 per hour. A high school diploma is required, and candidates must be registered as a security officer. Benefits include dental, health, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a flexible schedule. Requirements

Proven experience as a security officer or guard.
Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety.
Familiarity with report writing.
Excellent surveillance and observation skills.
Tech-savvy, with experience using surveillance systems.
Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense.
Registered as a security officer.
High school diploma required.

Responsibilities

Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish a security presence.
Monitor and authorize the entrance of vehicles and people onto the property.
Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area.
Secure exits, doors, and windows after operations end.
Periodically check surveillance cameras to identify disruptions or unlawful acts.
Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions.
Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation.
Provide assistance to people in need.
Submit reports on daily surveillance activity and important occurrences.
