Security Officer - Weekly Pay
About The Position
The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for clients by actively monitoring premises, controlling access, and patrolling a variety of locations. The officer preserves order while enforcing site regulations and directives concerning personnel, visitors, and the surrounding area. The role involves conflict resolution and de-escalation, frequent interaction with client employees and guests, identifying and reporting safety concerns or suspicious activity, completing assigned rounds, providing customer service, using technology devices throughout the shift, and conducting property tours. Officers may also perform other similar tasks as required at their assigned site. Full-time openings are available in Salt Lake City, Utah, with various schedules. Pay is $17.00–$19.00 per hour, paid weekly.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Above-average computer and technology skills.
- Excellent customer service and team leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to remain vigilant throughout the shift.
- Professional demeanor.
- Willingness to participate in pre-employment screening, including a drug screen and background investigation.
Nice To Haves
- Valid Utah state driver's license preferred.
- Previous security experience is not required.
Responsibilities
- Monitor premises and help maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Control access and patrol a variety of locations.
- Preserve order and enforce regulations and directives for client sites, personnel, visitors, and the area.
- Resolve conflicts and de-escalate situations.
- Interact with client employees and guests.
- Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, and suspicious activity.
- Follow post orders and complete assigned rounds.
- Provide customer service and information to client employees and guests.
- Use technology devices throughout the shift.
- Conduct tours of the property.
- Carry out other tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for the assigned site.
- Respond to emergencies using rapid, effective judgment and appropriate escalation.
