As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor visitor and employee access, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will use computer or tablet systems to support badge processes and access records while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access Control/Badge Experience (B201): Familiarity with access control systems and badge management is essential for ensuring the security of our facilities.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204): Proficiency in using technology is important for managing various tasks efficiently.
  • Customer Service Experience (B219): A strong background in customer service will help us maintain our commitment to excellence in client interactions.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials, authorizing entry in accordance with site procedures, and maintaining visitor and delivery records.
  • Observe incoming and outgoing vehicle, trailer, and pedestrian activity at access points, reporting irregularities and access concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and documenting activities as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
