As a Security Officer Patrol Monitor in Roseville, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Allied Universal officer in a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. You will contribute to daily operations by observing activity, reporting concerns, and working as part of a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and document relevant details according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and visitor activity, and report maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior to the appropriate contacts.
• Support loss prevention and property protection efforts by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with crowd management, and following post orders for opening, closing, and high-traffic periods.
