As a Security Officer - Outdoor Shopping Mall in Oceanside, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support shoppers, tenants, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or tenants by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and document relevant details in accordance with site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout storefronts, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify concerns for follow-up.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and visitor activity, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Support a welcoming shopping environment by providing directions, answering questions, and assisting with security-related concerns while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
