Security Officer - Afternoon Shift

About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Communications in Greencastle, Indiana, you will serve and safeguard clients at a commercial real estate location. As an unarmed patrol officer, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will support access control activities, respond to security-related concerns, and provide customer service through clear communication. The role is full-time and pays $18.50 per hour. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements before employment, where required.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification.
Access control or badge experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations calmly, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with site requirements.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, and unusual conditions, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
