About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer to support a government maritime transportation location in Richmond, Virginia. The officer will safeguard the site through patrols, access monitoring, incident response, reporting, and professional customer service. The position pays $17.60 per hour and is scheduled Monday and Saturday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Requirements

A TSA-issued TWIC credential is required.
Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing requirements may apply and may need to be met before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public while following site-specific procedures and security policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized entry attempts or suspicious activity.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and assist with emergency response activities as directed.
Prepare accurate reports, maintain required activity logs, and communicate observations and incidents to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
