Security Officer Part Time TWIC Driver Patrol

About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for patrol and driving duties at an automotive location in Benicia, California. The officer will help safeguard employees, drivers, visitors, vendors, and site operations through visible patrols, access monitoring, customer service, and incident response. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license and a TSA-issued TWIC. The posted schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The pay rate is $22.90 per hour.
Requirements
- Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
- Have a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require being at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.
Nice To Haves
- Comfort using a computer or tablet.
- Possess a guard card or license.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and vendors while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of vehicle storage areas, parking lots, access points, buildings, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access to the location, verify credentials and/or delivery documentation as directed, and maintain visitor and vehicle-entry records.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site-specific procedures.
- Observe and report damaged fencing, unsecured gates, lighting concerns, vehicle-related irregularities, and other conditions requiring attention.
