About The Position

As a full-time Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Kansas City, Missouri, you will help safeguard clients and support an orderly, welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and delivery personnel. The role focuses on access control, professional communication, responding to security-related concerns, and carrying out site-specific procedures. The position pays $18.75 per hour and is scheduled Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and applicable emergency-response activities.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorizations, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and help control personnel and vehicle entry and exit.
Respond calmly to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify unusual activity or unauthorized access.
Document daily activities, incidents, and access-control concerns according to company and site-specific reporting procedures.
