Security Officer Part Time Hospital Patrol
About The Position
As a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location in Memphis, Tennessee, you will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and vendors. You will patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, monitor access points, respond professionally to incidents and alarms, and provide customer service while following facility procedures. The role includes working in a hospital morgue and being able to restrain individuals. The posted schedule is Tuesday and Wednesday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM. The pay rate is $17.91 per hour. Requirements
- Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
- Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
- Be able to restrain individuals.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while following site-specific procedures and policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the healthcare facility, parking areas, and perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established protocols.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor management in accordance with facility policies and security-related procedures.
- Document observations, incidents, and actions taken, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders as needed.
