About The Position

As a Security Officer in Columbus, Ohio, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. In this unarmed patrol role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. You will assist with access control and badge procedures, respond to concerns, and deliver customer service through clear communication, teamwork, reliability, and integrity. This is a full-time position paying $18.35 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Wednesday, 12:30 PM–6:30 PM; Thursday, 10:30 AM–6:30 PM; and Friday, 6:30 AM–2:30 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required prior to employment, depending on state and/or local laws and regulations.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience preferred.
Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and conducting emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
Assist with access control and badge procedures.
Maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff.
