About The Position

As a Security Officer Driver Screener in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor access, conduct screening activities, and support security-related operations with professionalism and strong communication. This is a driving post. You will remain visible, assist with routine patrols, and contribute to a caring, reliable team that puts people first while delivering service with integrity and innovation.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen individuals, personal property, packages, and/or vehicles entering or exiting the location for prohibited items, irregularities, and/or policy concerns.
  • Verify identification, credentials, shipping documentation, and/or access permissions while helping to control entry and exit points in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observed concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around screening areas, dock areas, and the perimeter, as assigned, while documenting activity and reporting unusual conditions.
