Requirements

  • 1+ years of security-related experience is required.
  • Must be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, checking credentials, and documenting entry and exit activity at the location.
  • Monitor entrances, gates, and/or designated access points to help to deter unauthorized access, support security-related policies, and report unusual activity or concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, delivery issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, dock areas, parking areas, and perimeter, noting security-related concerns and documenting observations according to post procedures.
