Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location as an Access Control Officer, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support daily site operations. You will remain visible, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and/or contractor logs, and help to control access to the location in accordance with post orders and client guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, gate areas, loading and receiving zones, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
  • Support daily logistics and distribution operations by observing inbound and outbound traffic, documenting deliveries and/or pickups, and reporting policy violations, hazards, and/or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
