About The Position

As a Security Officer Logistics Access in North Charleston, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to all visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and following assigned security-related policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points for a logistics and distribution location, help to deter unauthorized access, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or operational concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarm conditions, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including exterior areas, parking areas, gates, dock areas, and perimeter points, with attention to access control concerns and site rules.
• Support traffic flow and site entry procedures for deliveries, vendors, and/or scheduled guests, while documenting required information and communicating clearly with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
