About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for a retail and mall location in Moreland, Georgia. The officer will safeguard clients by patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, supporting access control, and providing customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and employees. The role requires professional communication and calm, reliable responses to security concerns, incidents, and critical situations.

The position is scheduled for daytime shifts on Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The pay rate is $18.54 per hour. Applicants must have at least two years of security-related experience, be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles, and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is conditional on applicable background and drug screening. Licensing may be required under state or local regulations.

Requirements

• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet state and/or local licensing requirements if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and employees by following security procedures and site-specific policies and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail and mall common areas, parking areas, entrances, loading zones, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location.
• Report suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate professionally with site management, tenants, and Allied Universal leadership.
