Security Officer - Part Time Armed Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Armed Security Officer for a manufacturing and industrial location in Albany, Oregon. The officer will safeguard the site by monitoring access points, conducting routine armed patrols, maintaining a visible presence, supporting badge and access-control processes, responding to site needs, and providing customer service and communication. The role pays $27.30 per hour and is scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Applicants must be at least 21 years old for armed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Participation in industry-specific security training is required. Licensing requirements depend on applicable state and local laws and may need to be met before employment. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.
Requirements

Nice To Haves

- Access-control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific security procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, hazardous conditions, and critical situations, following post orders and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of production areas, warehouses, entry points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter.
- Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, contractors, and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate reports and daily activity logs on patrols, incidents, access-control activity, and observations.
- Communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
