About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Field Operations in New Orleans, Louisiana. The role provides a designated site and weekly anchor shift, with a six-month commitment, and offers the option to claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform. Additional shifts may allow an employee to increase hours up to 40 per week, with flexibility to scale back. The position pays $16.00 per hour and is scheduled Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

The officer provides security and customer service at commercial real estate locations, conducts armed patrols, monitors access and visitor activity, responds to incidents, and maintains documentation. The role requires an armed guard card or license, a minimum age of 21, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is contingent on applicable background and drug screening requirements and participation in industry-specific security training.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Meet licensing requirements under applicable state or local laws; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site-specific security procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities.
• Respond professionally to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations, following reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of building interiors, parking areas, entrances, common areas, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and maintain daily activity, incident, and patrol documentation.
• Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and follow applicable laws, policies, and procedures for armed security duties.
