As a Security Officer in Madison, WI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic chemical manufacturing location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access awareness through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all persons at the location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner and report details according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials, and/or document visitor and contractor activity in accordance with location requirements.
  • Support chemical and industrial location rules by observing for spills, restricted area violations, and/or operational concerns, then communicating findings to the appropriate site contacts.
