About The Position

Tłı̨chǫ Property Management (TPM), proudly owned by the Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation (TIC), provides property management services within Tłı̨chǫ communities. We are committed to maintaining safe, welcoming, and well-managed properties for our tenants and community members. We are looking for a reliable, responsible, and community-minded individual to join our team as a Casual / On-Call Security Officer in Behchokǫ̀. The Security Officer will help maintain a safe and secure environment at Tłı̨chǫ Property Management properties. The successful candidate will be observant, professional, dependable, and comfortable working independently. This is a casual / on-call position, with shifts scheduled as needed to cover vacations, absences, additional security requirements, or other operational needs. Shifts may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

  • Clear criminal record – applicants must provide confirmed criminal record check or fingerprint results.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's licence required.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • Good observation and situational awareness.
  • Knowledge of public safety and security procedures.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous security experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor live CCTV cameras and identify security or safety concerns.
  • Conduct vehicle patrols of designated properties and surrounding areas.
  • Perform on-foot security patrols as required.
  • Monitor entrances, common areas, parking areas, and other designated locations.
  • Identify and report suspicious activity, property damage, unauthorized access, or other concerns.
  • Respond appropriately to security and safety incidents.
  • Complete incident reports, shift reports, and other required documentation.
  • Communicate professionally with tenants, visitors, employees, contractors, and community members.
  • Follow established security, safety, and emergency procedures.
  • Contact appropriate emergency services or management when required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
