About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time enhanced Security Officer for a front desk at a government public health facility in Decatur, Georgia. The role provides a designated weekly shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment to that fixed shift. Officers may also claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the option to build up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week or scale back as needed. The pay rate is $16.90 per hour.

The officer provides front-desk customer service and supports facility security by monitoring access, handling visitor credentials and records, answering phones, directing visitors, and responding to incidents according to site procedures.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation, subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, patients, staff, and vendors at a government public health front desk, following site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Monitor facility access, verify visitor authorization as directed, issue visitor credentials when applicable, and maintain accurate entry records.
• Receive and direct visitors, answer phones, provide general information, and communicate professionally with public health facility personnel.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel or emergency responders according to site procedures.
• Remain aware of front desk activity and report unusual, unauthorized, or security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
