As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Mobile Response Driver in Leesburg, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Requirements

  • At least two years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A Virginia DCJS license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government facilities, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and coordinating with emergency responders when needed.
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities.
