As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while contributing to a welcoming environment. Requirements

  • Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and report unusual conditions, hazards, or policy violations.
  • Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations in required reports and maintain professional communication with site personnel and responding public-service agencies.
