About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer in Newville, Pennsylvania, you will serve and safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location. In this access-control role, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and maintain accurate records. Your visible presence will help deter security-related incidents while you provide exceptional customer service and clear communication. The role offers schedule flexibility and access to a platform for viewing and claiming additional shifts.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, as permitted and required by applicable law.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor and control access by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing authorized individuals according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, promptly communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, the business, and the perimeter to help identify unauthorized activity or irregular conditions.
Maintain accurate access-control logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with site-specific requirements.
