About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an unarmed Security Officer for a logistics and distribution location in Daytona Beach, Florida. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. The position involves providing customer service, communicating clearly, and reporting security-related concerns.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for an unarmed role.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the distribution facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity or access concerns.
Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, contractors, vendors, and drivers according to site procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
Document patrol findings, incidents, and other security-related activities in accurate reports and shift logs.
