Security Officer FT - Overnights with SOC Exp.- Parsippany, NJ
About The Position
Securitas is hiring a full-time Security Officer in Parsippany, New Jersey, for an overnight schedule of Friday through Monday, 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The position pays $18.00 per hour and requires SOC experience. Security Officers help maintain a safe and secure environment by monitoring and patrolling client premises, enforcing site regulations and directives, and providing customer service and information to client employees and guests. The posting also states that no experience is necessary generally and that training will be provided, while listing previous security experience as highly preferred and SOC experience as required. The role involves securing entrances, conducting interior and exterior patrols, responding to conflict through resolution and de-escalation, identifying and reporting safety issues or hazardous conditions, promptly reporting suspicious activity, and preparing detailed written witness reports. Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- SOC experience required.
- Standard computer and technology skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with a wide range of individuals.
- Ability to conduct patrols throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to remain vigilant throughout the shift.
- Active NJ SORA license or ability to obtain one.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Open availability required.
- Previous security experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities
