About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Package Screening in Ruskin, Florida. The role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned technology-focused site, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. The designated site and weekly shift serve as the employee’s fixed base schedule and require a six-month commitment. Additional shifts may be available across multiple sites, allowing employees to increase their hours up to 40 per week and scale back when needed.

The position pays $17.25 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The role is intended for candidates seeking part-time work with schedule flexibility, income stability, and a potential path to full-time employment.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require being at least 21 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies.
• Screen individuals, packages, and materials entering the facility according to established access-control and screening procedures.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorized access, and maintain accurate visitor, delivery, and incident documentation.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following site-specific emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points, screening areas, and the surrounding business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
