About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed patrol Security Officer for a government services location in New York, NY. The officer will maintain a visible presence, patrol assigned areas, monitor access and visitor activity, communicate professionally with visitors and staff, and respond to security concerns. The position pays $18.87 per hour. The listed schedule includes Monday 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, Tuesday and Wednesday 12:00 AM–8:00 AM, Thursday 4:00 PM–12:00 AM, and Sunday 8:00 AM–4:00 PM. Applicants must have a valid New York State Security Guard License, at least one year of security-related experience, be at least 18 years old for an unarmed role, and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen.

Requirements

Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.

Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, residents, and staff by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, building entrances, common areas, and perimeter locations, identifying and reporting unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures.
Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
