About The Position

Northeast Security, Inc. is hiring part-time Security Officers in Framingham, Massachusetts. The role involves providing customer service and assistance, greeting and directing visitors, and conducting security patrols. Officers monitor premises for irregularities and security breaches, observe and report incidents, communicate with local law enforcement and fire departments as necessary, and respond to security and safety concerns. Duties also include operating a mobile unit, conducting unarmed foot patrols, preparing daily incident reports, maintaining patrol-related forms, and keeping the patrol vehicle maintained. Officers must follow the on-site operations manual and post orders and may perform other duties required by the client or Northeast Security. The position pays $22.75 per hour and is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM. Two openings are available. Applicants must complete orientation and pass required background and drug screenings; positions may be rescinded if background requirements are not met.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
At least 18 years of age.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both written and verbal.
Neat and professional appearance.
Dependable means of transportation.
Ability to pass all pre-employment background and drug screenings.
Strong customer service, written and verbal communication, attention to detail, professionalism, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to walk for long periods, multitask, self-manage, and maintain effective relationships with company and client personnel.
Ability to demonstrate responsibility and friendliness toward clients and residents and maintain high ethical and professional standards.
Knowledge of company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service and assistance; greet and direct visitors.
Patrol and monitor premises to detect irregularities, suspicious behavior, or security breaches.
Observe and report incidents or suspicious activity.
Communicate with local law enforcement units and fire departments as necessary.
Operate a mobile unit to monitor exterior premises.
Conduct foot patrols, including unarmed interior and/or exterior patrols.
Write detailed daily reports about incidents on the premises.
Properly use, complete, and submit forms associated with patrol activities and duties.
Respond to incidents involving security and safety concerns.
Maintain the patrol vehicle, including routine or corrective maintenance, vacuuming, and washing.
Respond to requests for assistance and evaluate appropriate courses of action.
Comply with requirements and directives in the on-site operations manual and post orders.
Perform other duties as required by the client or Northeast Security.
